Already construction of the complex is well under way off the bypass road, close to the Hino trucks showroom.
The development, situated on a 52-rai (83,200 sqm) site, will consist of a 2,000-seat theatre, a Thai art and culture village set up to replicate Thailand’s four regions, and a 1,000-seat restaurant. Visitors will also be able to take trips on an adjacent lake, the website of Thai newspaper Than Setakij reported.
The area is being developed as Siam Niramit Phuket, by Ratchada Theatre Ltd, who also developed Thailand’s largest entertainment stage – Siam Niramit Bangkok. The Ratchada Theatre company also owns the Dream World theme park in Pathum Thani.
Than Setakij reported that the shows in Phuket “are expected to be even more spectacular than in Bangkok”, with the latest technology used for the lighting, sound and show equipment.
