8 p.m. Nanaimo Theatre Group won best play, best ensemble, best supporting actor at the zone festival in May and is presenting encore performances Of 'Over the River and Through the Woods,' At the Bailey Studio, 2373 Rosstown Rd. Tickets are $15.

SATURDAY, JUNE 25

8 a.m. The South End Community Association celebrates Nanaimo's mining past with its 19th annual Miner's Heritage Day Picnic at Deverill Square Park, on Haliburton Street. The day starts with a pancake

Heavenly Father we pray for MLA Scott Fraser and the important work he does for this province as Opposition Critic for Aboriginal Relations. We know he deals with many issues Lord and we ask that you give him peace and wisdom in the area he has been assigned. We know Lord that it is only in that place of peace and stillness that we can hear You and know how to proceed. With each decision we ask that he would hear You guiding him in the way to go. We ask this is the blessed name of Jesus.
